Looking around for pole dance classes... it's looking bleak.
Feeling dance studio (formerly Blush) charge 990 RMB for 6 classes.
Way to expensive. And it is not really for people on my level + the studio is a bit far from my house.
Soul Dancing studio charge 880 for 8 classes (or 1400 for 16 classes) which is better. But still quite expensive considering I don't think their classes are very structured or organised.
Last year I was a member of Soul Dancing and Jenevieve taught there but once she left to start up Blush (that ceased to exist just the other day) the quality of Soul Dancing's classes went straight down.
Last time I went there I remember I just stood in class being bored because the remaining teachers were so bad and I left 15 minutes early.
(funnily enough they have pictures on their website from that very same class, my tattoos make me very recognisable)
(please note the people on the left just standing there...thats what most of us did that class)
sigh
Im thinking I will go and drop in on one of their classes next week anyways (cost 100 rmb for testing a class) and see if they have any new teachers that are better or if it is the same as before. It all depends on who is teaching right now.
If anyone knows of any other pole dancing studios around in Shanghai, give me a shout!
I fear I might be on my own now...
I'm new to Shanghai, and am looking for a pole dance studio. I've tried Soul Dancing, but don't like that the classes don't seem to have any trackable progression. Would you mind sharing the address or contact of Feeling dance studio? I'd love to try that one out. And would also love to meet a fellow pole dancer...
Thanks in advance!

Well, my site lists pole dance classes and studios by state in the US. Check it out: http://www.tinishanicolejohnson.com/poledanceclasses.htm

This looks really cool and interesting. I'm currently taking Salsa classes in Toronto at http://www.dancesalsaintoronto.com and would like to give this a try. Looks like a lot more fun.
Two thumbs up!
