A short informal test to see which historical figure you are (in Swedish)
I got Napoleon.... hmmm... I only like war when playing Risk...
I suppose I'll be singing Waterloo by ABBA next time I go to Karaokey then.

So we have reached the end of new years celebrations.
No more banging and shooting of fire crackers, waking up 7 am in the morning momentarily thinking you live in a war zone. Finally being able to speak on the phone again.
I had heard that the Lunar Festival would be celebrated in YuYuan Gardens in Old Town so Campbell and I headed over there together with about 200 000 other Chinese people.
I was very excited wondering what was actually going to take place! Not quite sure what we were looking for we made our way through the masses which were worse than People Square Metro Station at 5.30 pm.
This was a mistake.
Wobbling around like penguins on a pointless trek somewhere. There were nothing that "happened". Just masses of people walking around. The biggest attraction as far as we understood it was this plastic Tiger (it is the year of the Tiger now) posing with a giraffe (?).
Please note how I skillfully managed to get the full moon in the picture. Appreciate and enjoy.
More tiger
Chinese Lanterns that attract good spirits
"Beautiful" Flower Ornaments
Happy 2010!
The case is settled and done.No more debate.
My boyfriend is the best in the world!
How can anyone argue against that when my Campbell gives me a pair of custom made shoes!
The best gift ever :)
They are an identical copy of my favourite pair of shoes that I wore so much they fell apart.
Now it's as if I got them back again brand new!
Happy!
Professor Deborah Brautigam at the American University's International Development Program has started a much needed blog called China in Africa: the Real Story.
The aim of the blog is to provide accurate information on the vast topic of China in Africa which is experiencing a high degree of media hype.
As with anything that has to do with China transparency is often lacking and thus rumours spread easily often growing in proportion. Hopefully this blog can serve as a platform where people who have actual on the ground knowledge and research can confirm or refute numbers and rumours often cited in the media.
It is clear that "China in Africa" is the media fashion of the day, often a journalist will publish an ill researched article with some numbers thrown in and other journalists will catch on to the "news" reproducing the information over and over again spreading like a viral disease.
In short, be careful of believing any news articles on the topic of China in Africa as these often only use other news articles as sources.
Found this graph on showing the difference in the processes of science and denialism:
Pretty accurate
Emma and Sarah are in Thailand...yeah whatever I can see drunk Swedish people every midsummer. Who wants that anyways.
But whatever, I have made new friends and here is a picture to prove that they are not imaginary (unlike Emma's friend "Bob"):
I also had a dream that Emma and Sarah were pale like ...our couch.
Maybe it is a "sanningsdröm"!
Another post about Zebra crossings:
As the World Expo is just around the corner the Chinese government have started a series of teaching videos to promote civilization. For example in the metro there are video clips showing people how to stand correctly in an escalator (stand to the right, let people pass on the left).
Recently they have started showing videos on how to cross the road correctly (walk on green man, wait on red man) which they now show in all taxis:
I have decided to become a healthier person!
Yup...It is about 2 months delayed but I shall start with my new years resolution this weekend!
Im going down to the gym to bargain my way to a cheap membership fee and then I will join Campbell and Kyrre in my quest to strengh!
And flexibility will be conquered by stretching in the park with all the other Shanghairens!
From Scandinavia, grew up in Africa, study economics in Shanghai and love to Pole Dance
